Day 2Visit Mabamba Swamps and Drive to Jinja
After breakfast, we'll begin our adventure with a foray into the Mabamba Swamps, located on Lake Victoria. The swamps comprise a large tract of marshlands broken up by various channels, the perfect habitat for water birds. Keep an eye out for the famous, prehistoric-looking shoebill stork, as well as the web-toed sitatunga antelope. We'll then proceed to Jinja for a river cruise on the Nile. After a long day on the water, we'll pitch camp at the Haven Lodge overlooking the river.
Day 3 Drive to Kitgum via Nyero Rock Paintings
After a breakfast feast on the banks of the Nile, we'll enjoy a leisurely drive to Moroto town to spend the night before our next camping adventure. En route to Kitgum, we'll pay a visit to the mystical Nyero rock paintings. They comprise a three-tiered rock shelter with artworks on the inner surface which date back to the Iron Age. Once in Kitgum, you can set up camp, kick up your feet, and enjoy the peaceful ambience that this quiet town exudes.
Day 4Drive to Kidepo Valley National park
Today, we'll set out for Kidepo National Park, arriving at our lodge just before lunch time. After we are suitably refreshed, we'll set up camp and then ready ourselves for an evening game drive through the park. Kidepo lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda's borders with Sudan and Kenya. It boasts a profusion of big game animals, as well as an abundance of birdlife. Kidepo is also Uganda's most isolated national park, ensuring an exclusive and intimate experience of the park's beauty for our party.
Day 5Nature Walk and Game Drive
After a hearty campsite breakfast, we'll drive into the Narus Valley for a nature walk alongside wild animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, we'll enjoy another game drive in Kidepo National Park.
Day 6Game Drive and Community Visit
Awaken with the African dawn chorus to an early breakfast in Kidepo, before taking a morning game drive through to the Narus Valley to watch big game and small bird species alike foraging for breakfast. We'll rest at the campsite from lunch to evening, when we'll undertake a cultural tour of the Karimajong village. We'll spend a wonderful evening with the Karamajong people, who will grant insight into their traditions, beliefs, and way of life. By the end of the tour, you are sure to appreciate why they have striven to preserve their way of life in the onset of globalisation.

Day 8Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Ride
Activities Included
Animal Tracking Bird Photography Boat Cruise Camping Evening Drives Game Walk General Photography Landscape photography Morning Drives Surfing Township tour Wilderness Trail Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird Watching Culture Photo-safari Scenic Drive HikingWe'll rise early for breakfast in the bush before beginning our first adventure in Murchison Falls National Park. First on the itinerary is a beautiful game drive traversing the savannah, the Borassus palm forest, and grassland down to Lake Albert, where the Albert Nile heads north. In the open savannah, keep an eye out for big cats, hyena, and local fauna like the Ugandan kob. Bird-lovers should look out for the magnificent martial eagle (Africa's biggest eagle), as well as the jewel-coloured carmine and swallow-tailed bee-eaters. In the afternoon, we'll board a riverboat for a ride up the Nile, towards Murchison Falls, from which the park derives its name. After winding lazily up the river, we'll disembark and enjoy a brisk hike to the top of the falls, where you'll experience firsthand the raw and thunderous power of the waterfall. We'll pitch camp at the top of the falls.
Day 9 Drive to Fort Portal and Kibale National Park
Today, we'll leave the awesome Murchison Falls for a leisurely drive to Kibale National Park, in Fort Portal. Our scenic route takes us through emerald tea plantations, which our party can stop at to enjoy. In Fort Portal, we'll make a stop in town to do some shopping. This is a good time to purchase a memento to remember your Ugandan adventure by! We'll arrive at our accommodation in the afternoon. You can spend the afternoon settling into camp, or exploring your new surroundings in the Kibale National Park.
Day 10Chimpanzee Trek and Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, we'll prepare for a very special adventure - a chimpanzee trek through Kibale's lush and gorgeous tropical forest. This habitat is home to thirteen primate species, including our cousins, the chimpanzees. With some luck and gumption, we might spot these highly intelligent and social animals at play in their natural habitat. After lunch, we'll proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying a game drive on our way in. Queen Elizabeth NP is Uganda's most popular and scenic game reserve. It stretches from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori mountains in the north, crawling along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savanna and wetlands and lowland forest. Please note that, for today, food and drinks are to be purchased at your own expense.

After our morning drive, we'll return to the lodge to lounge about before a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. If time permits and the spirit if willing, then we'll take off for another game drive through the many beautiful habitats of the park - the open savannah, rainforest, dense papyrus swamps, crater lakes, and the vast Lake Edward.

There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species here, including the blue-throated broadbill and the bar-tailed trogon. The trek takes anywhere between 2 and 6 hours, but it is well worth the effort. Our party will be led by an experienced ranger, who will fill you in on the local flora and fauna, as well as the lifestyle habits of the gorilla. After lunch, we'll head straight to the airport, where you'll be flying onto your next adventure, or back home! No doubt you'll be missing your home by now, so goodbyes are bittersweet.
