Day 2Experience Maasai Culture
Activities IncludedBird Photography Hiking Landscape photography Party Bird Watching Culture
As Maasai we are usually awake very early with the rising sun. We have to milk the cows and goats for our breakfast before we send them out for grazing. After breakfast the kids go to school and our ladies go for firewood or water. On tuesday a very busy market is taking place in Oloolaimutia and if you are here on this day, you can accompany us to the market and experience the colours, the people and the hard bargaining. If you are into hiking, we can start your day with an extensive walk around the area. On the top of the nearby mountain you enjoy awesome views and if you are lucky we can even see some small antelopes that inhabit this area. We enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant of East Africa and then the day is up to you. Maybe you want to learn how to throw the spear or use bow and arrow like our warriors - the Ol Moran - use to do it. Or you want to visit the kids in school and maybe teach them something about your homecountry? You can even make yourself some jewelry out of beads with the help of our ladies. For the evening we have a great barbecue for you on offer. Learn how to make fire without matches or lighters and enjoy a jummy "Nyama Choma" like a Maasai. If you still can't get enough, we can go to the club of town for some beers and dancing.

Today you will have to say "bye" to your home next to the Maasai Mara. We start the day with a nature walk and try to find tracks of the animals that have been roaming here at night. If we are early we can be even lucky to spot some zebras or baboons. Something very unique to see by feet. After the walk you will make your way back to Nairobi in a safari van.
