Day 1Day 1: Airport Arrival transfer to Congo Virunga Nat Park

General Photography Township tour CultureYou will be met on arrival at Rwanda / Congo (DRC) border – Grande Barriére (La Corniche ). Assisted to clear with customs and cross border entering the Democratic Republic of Congo. Proceed on to Goma or Virunga national Park for overnight at your Hotel/Lodge.

Day 2Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Virunga National Park

Animal Tracking Wilderness TrailAfter an early breakfast, depart for Parc National des Virunga, and head over to the starting point of your gorilla tracking experience. After handling park formalities, we set off on the once-in-a-lifetime experience that is tracking mountain gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 700 alive today. You will get within meters of the family, and you’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour with them. Then return to your hotel or lodge for the night.

Day 3Day 3: Mount Nyiragongo volcano Hike

Camping HikingAfter an early breakfast; today is real adventure where you spend a day hiking the live volcano Nyiragongo. The trek includes a walk through lush forest and lava fields with a steep incline near the top, and includes an overnight stay in the Nyiragongo Crater Cabanas on the volcano rim. The stunning views both day and night make this an unforgettable experience. Later stay for overnight in tents at the rim of the giant crater high above the active lava lake. Hiking CultureAfter breakfast descend by 0700 hrs arriving at the trail head before lunch. Continue back to Goma City for lunch. Thereafter dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 5Transfer to Kahuzi-biega Nat Park in Bukavu

Boat CruiseAfter an early breakfast, transfer to the shores of Lake kivu to catch your boat for a 2hrs ride to Bukavu. Arrive in Bukavu a city in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), lying at the extreme south-eastern extent of Lake Kivu, west of Cyangugu in Rwanda, and separated from it by the outlet of the Ruzizi River. Kahuzi-Biéga National Park, a World Heritage Site and one of two homes of the Eastern Lowland Gorilla, is close to the city and can be accessed from the road to Kavumu. The park headquarters at Tshivanga is located 31 km from Bukavu.

Day 6Low land Gorilla tracking in Kahuzi Biega

Animal Tracking Wilderness Trail Culture Photo-safariAfter early Breakfast – transfer by our tourist car to the National Park to begin the trekking. Trekking for 2 to 3 hours in mountainous jungle area of Kahuzi Biega National Park, to find the large lowland gorilla family. The species here are Eastern Lowland Gorilla, very different from the more famous Mountain Gorillas found in the Virunga National Park. Unlike the chimpanzee-like lowland gorillas found in Gabon and Congo Brazzaville, The Kahuzi Biega gorillas are large, about the size of the mountain gorilla, so you definitely won’t be disappointed. Late in the afternoon you will be transferred to your hotel in Bukavu.

Day 7Transfer to Goma by Boat via lake kivu

Boat CruiseEarly Morning after break fast at your hotel transfer you at the port where a boat is waiting for you. Transfer back to Goma, arriving in time for your transfer to the border. Clear with customs and later depart for Kigali to catch your flight back home.
