Summary

For the first time in years, due to peace in the region and following release of the incredible documentary, VIRUNGA (now available on Netflix), the oldest and most diverse national park in all of Africa, Virunga, has reopened to visitation. Congo is one of the last places on Earth where you can find endangered Mountain Gorillas and chimpanzees, and the only place to find the Grauer’s gorilla –less than 130 remain in the wild! Join me, Jessica Pociask, as I personally guide you through Virunga to see gorillas and chimps, then to the sop of Nyriagongo Volcano to see one of the four active lava lakes in the world! From here we will head to Kahuzi-Biega, to see lowland gorillas, then it’s off to Rwanda to visit Nygunwe National Park, home of the world’s largest troop of Colobus Monkeys, then continue onto Burundi, for relaxing end to our incredible expedition, along the shores of Lake Tanganyika. This trip is for the most intrepid of travelers.
