Today after your relaxed and tasty breakfast, you will behin the drive towards the Buhoma area, near the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is mostly famous for the rare mountain gorillas which inhabit it, and aside from getting to experience this, you will also be able to experience the incredibly scenic route along the way, which passes through various local villages and the lush green countryside and hills that characterize so much of south western Uganda. Once you are in the forest park, you will then get to experience one of the richest ecosystems in Africa which is inhabited by some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. Our other location, Bwindi, on the other hand, is among the most diverse forests in East Africa and has more than 1,000 flowering plant species including 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns. After all this exciting but educating engagement, we return to the accommodation to reflect, as well as rest and prepare for the day ahead.

Although the trek could be quite lengthy and strenuous, the reward of getting to witness these animals as they interact, protest or play, more than makes up for it - every minute of the experience is worth the time you spent in search for them.
