Join us for a three day safari in Pilanesberg, a Big 5 national park located outside of Sun City, just 2.5 hours from Johannesburg. On this unforgettable safari, your guide will bring you up and close with some of the most majestic animals in the world. The safari is child friendly, we offer a junior ranger program and heavily discounted rates for kids. Besides game drives, you will also get to explore wildlife on foot and from the elephant hide. You will stay at Kwa Maritane, a high end lodge perched on an extinct volcano. All your meals are included. Part of the proceeds of your safari support the local Borite School as well as Mogwase Hospice.

Day-by-day Description
Day 1Arrive and go on an afternoon game drive
Activities Included
Game driveDrive to the lodge in your own car (accessible even by simple rental cars such as a polo or corolla) or have us transfer you from Johannesburg at a surcharge. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the team at Kwa Maritane, and taken to your beautifully appointed room to refresh. The lodge is 4 star graded and has family rooms and rooms which are wheelchair friendly (book in advance). Go on your first game drive in an open vehicle. Your guide will take you to some of his favorite spots in the park. Return for a delicious outdoor (weather permitting) dinner and marvel at the stars and tasty South African dishes.

Day 2Game Walk and Game Drive
Activities Included
Game Walk Game drive CultureToday you will go on a game drive or, weather and availability permitting (pay extra), a bush walk together with your guide. Kids can follow a special junior ranger program today that familiarizes them with the bush, survival skills and wild animals in a safe, informative and engaging way that will have them forgetting all about their smart devices, phones and computers. Return to relax and get a treatment at the spa or swim in the pool (there is a pool with a slide for children!) or place put-put or climb the climbing wall. After lunch go on a game drive. Return for your second sumptuous dinner.

Animal Tracking Game drive CultureGo on a morning game drive today to try and find some of the animals you have not yet encountered. Visit the elephant hide if you have not yet done so. Check out and drive back. At a surcharge we can provide private transfers to Johannesburg.
