Summary
The Madikwe River Lodge is beautifully situated on the banks of the Groot Marico River in the heart of Madikwe Game Reserve, offering guests a place to relax and unwind. Madikwe River Lodge is only a 3 hour drive from JHB and is a Malaria Free area. The Perfect getaway when visiting South Africa. Tours can be adjusted to add more days. This tour includes 3 x meals per day, a return transfer from JHB to the lodge and back and Accommodation.

Day-by-day Description
Day 1Departure from Hotel in JHB or the Airport to Madikwe River Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve

Evening Drives General Photography Night drive Scenic Drive Self-drive Game drive Photo-safariOn the first day, your Mr Shuttle driver/guide will meet you at your Hotel in JHB or at OR Tambo International Airport for your transfer to Madikwe Game Reserve where Madikwe River Lodge is situated. It is more or less a 3 hour drive depending on traffic and time of departure from JHB. Upon arrival at the lodge, your driver/guide will assist you with your check-in at the lodge where you will be taken to your room. You will have some time to settle in at the lodge. You will meet up with your Game Ranger that will take you on your first afternoon game drive. After your game drive you will have dinner at the lodge and settle in and relax for the evening. Extra arrangements can be made for lunch on this day. You are welcome to book other activities at additional cost such as: - Evening & Morning Game Drives - Bird Safari's - Game Walks - Bush/Nature Walks - Star Gazing from the boma - Swimming.

You will wake early the morning for your first early morning game drive and have a cup of coffee and some snacks. Early morning game drives are quite the experience where you get to see quite a bit of wild due to it still being "cool". After your morning game drive you will head back to the lodge to have a refreshing breakfast. After breakfast you have some "Free-Time" to spend at the lodge. During this free-time extra activities can be arranged for you at reception upon arrival at extra cost. You will once again head off to your afternoon game drive and then go back to the lodge for dinner. Boma or Bush dinners can be arranged for you where you will have a true African experience. You can then settle in and relax for the rest of the evening.
