A 2 Night 3 Day African experience awaits at Nkomazi Private Game Reserve, surrounded by towering mountains, broad river valleys and impressive grasslands. This makes for spectacular game viewing and a unique safari experience. The lodge is characterized by the Komati River which continuously emits a gentle rumble. Steeped in history, the reserve is home to some of the oldest rock formations on earth, embellished by ancient San rock art.

Day 1Arrival Day at Komati Tented Lodge

Animal Tracking Bird Photography Evening Drives General Photography Morning Drives Night drive Wilderness Trail Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird WatchingWe will be picking you up at Johannesburg International airport and be transferring you to Nkomazi Game Reserve. Upon arrival at Nkomazi Game Reserve, we will take you to the waiting area where you will be met by your Safari Ranger. He will have some paper work for you to complete. After you completed all the necessary documentations your Safari Ranger will take you through to Komati Tented Lodge. After you have been booked into the luxurious Komati Tented Lodge, you will enjoy a late afternoon High Tea which will be followed by your first safari evening/night drive of the trip. Upon return of the game drive, you will be met with pre-dinner drinks and snacks followed by a dinner.

Animal Tracking Bird Photography Evening Drives General Photography Morning Drives Night drive Wilderness Trail Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird WatchingStart the day with an early bird wake up call and some morning refreshments Which will be followed up with the first game drive of the day to catch all the nocturnal animals that are still active and the other animals who use the cool of the morning to move to the watering holes. After your morning safari drive you start the rest of your day of rest and relaxation with a mouthwatering breakfast, now you have the rest of day to kill with some leisure time. Late afternoon will be kicked off with an afternoon High Tea before you embark off on your next adventure-packed evening/night safari drive. You will say goodbye to an awesome day with some sun-downers at sunset and it ends with a spectacular dinner.

Then its time to have a final morning safari drive of your trip in an open safari vehicle with the Nkomazi guides. You will leave at sunrise, then be back at camp for breakfast and to check out. We’ll have a small drive through the park as we make our way towards the exit gate and hopefully get one last glimpse of something special. You will be met by your driver/guide at the waiting area for your transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport (or Hotel) and depart with some fine memories of time well spent.
