This morning you will get up very early and drive to Mgahinga National Park for gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. After breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. The journey goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. After breakfast, transfer to the Park office and commence registration and then you will have an introductory talk with your ranger, who will accompany you during the 2 days. The Karisimbi is the highest mountain of the Virunga mountain range and its ascent to the camp takes about 6 hours. A hike in the Volcanoes National Park is not ordinary, it offers special insights into the flora and fauna. Primates such as monkeys and gorillas, but also exotic plants and a variety of bird species are located here. If you're lucky, you'll see Colobus and Gold Apes on your tour. Overnight at about 3600 meters in the tent. Activities Included

Get up early and climb to the top of Karisimbi, which at 4705 m is Rwanda's highest mountain. The hike takes about 4 hours to the top of this sometimes snow covered volcano. At sunrise you have a fantastic panorama over the Volcanoes National Park and across to the DR Congo with the Virunga National Park. On clear days, the view from the summit, both on the Rwandan and Congolese sides, is spectacular and gives you a fantastic view of the active volcanoes Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira in the distance.
