Day 1Welcome to Rwanda!

General Photography Landscape photography Scenic DriveThe moment you've touched down at Kigali International Airport, you'll be welcomed courteously by your private tour guide, who will brief you on Rwanda and your upcoming tour. You'll then be transferred to Volcanoes National Park, a drive of about 2.5 hours through the rolling hills of Rwanda, "The Land of a Thousand Hills". Stops can be made en route for pitstops and photo opportunities. Your final stop for the day is Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge, your home for the next two nights.

Day 2Gorilla Trek

A briefing by the park officials will take place in the park headquarters in Kinigi at 8.00 AM sharp. After the briefing, you'll enter the jungle in search of the shy mountain giants. Firm walking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, rain gear, a packed lunch, and a water bottle are essential for the walking tour. The sights of the Volcanic Mountains stretch from the Congo through Rwanda to Uganda. The gorilla trekking activity tends to last between 2 and 8 hours or more, depending on the gorillas' movements. Nevertheless, your encounter with these magnificent creatures will be well worth the effort. At the end of the trek, you will head back to Da Vinci Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Day 3Kigali Genocide Memorial & Departure

General Photography Scenic Drive CultureAfter a final breakfast at the lodge, you'll be transferred back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a tour of the Kigali Genocide Memorial, learning about the history of Rwanda. The Memorial has been carefully curated to ensure a sensitive, educational, and affective approach to the history of the genocide. After the 2-hour historical tour, you'll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for an evening flight departure. Alternatively, you can arrange to stay longer in Kigali at an additional cost.
