This tour gives an unforgettable experience that allows you to spend 12 days exploring four East African countries with the Malawi & Vic Falls Tour. You will leave the coastal city behind and move into the cool highland region of Mikumi National Park, the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. We then truck on down to Malawi which is known as the Warm Heart of Africa. The Lake Malawi offers a range of thrilling activities, or simply a luxurious day at the beach and after watching a final sunrise on the shores of Lake Malawi you will set off for Zambia and the South Luangwa National Park the world-class safari destination. The tour gives you plenty of time to explore the park in search of the variety of wildlife found there. Our final stretch takes us to Victoria Falls, not only will you be able to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World, but you’ll be able to participate in exciting activities such as white water rafting, canoeing, bungee jumping, and an authentic Victoria Falls safari!

Day 1Welcome to Dar es Salaam!

You will meet your guide in Dar es Salaam and you will be transferred to the Inn Hotel, Kariakoo. This where you will spend your day relaxing and don't forget to make yourself feel at home.

Early morning you'll depart from the coast to inland, towards Mikumi National Park where you will make it our home for the night. Mikumi is ranked as the fourth largest park in Tanzania and It is the largest reserve in Africa. You will stop for the night at Asante Afrika Camp.

Early morning you will depart to the chorus of the African bush so that you enjoy an extensive game drive in Mikumi National Park. In the afternoon, you'll continue our travels to the southern highlands of Tanzania for our final stop where you will explore the historic Old Farm House in Kisolanza. You will settle in for a luxurious experience of the Ghauri family's enduring hospitality.

Early morning you will depart and Leave Tanzania behind. You'll descend into the Great Rift Valley and cross the border into Malawi, this charming lake country is blessed with friendly locals as well as unparalleled natural beauty. Tonight, our destination is the pristine northern shores of the crystalline Lake Malawi, where you can look forward to spending two days enjoying lakeside attractions. Before you dive into the azure waters of Lake Malawi, you'll spend the afternoon enjoying a visit to a local community and once you get a taste of local hospitality, you'll never want to leave! Finally, we'll unpack our bags and put our feet up at the tranquil Maji Zuwa Water & Sun Resort, where we'll be spending the next two nights.

This day will be a day for leisure, exploring the myriad natural treasures that Lake Malawi has to offer. There are optional activities that will be provided like snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters, the Livingstone day hike is available and it rewards the hiker with stunning views of Lake Malawi and the surrounding Nyika mountains. You will spend the day on your feet or underwater, you'll return to the luxurious Maji Zuwa Resort for another night by the lake.

Day 6Southern Shores of Lake Malawi

Early morning we will depart for the Southern shore of Lake Malawi that stretches along the Western boundary of Malawi and the lake is home to more species of fish than any other lake. you'll spend the night on the shores of this natural wonder in the deluxe Ngala Beach Lodge.

Day 7Southern Shores of Lake Malawi

After days of getting different experiences, another day of leisure! You will spend your day by the Lake and do what warms your heart and that could be paging through your favourite beach-read, soak up the sun or indulge in any one of the many lakeside attractions that are on offer. We'll return to Ngala Beach Lodge for yet another glorious night under Malawian stars.

Day 8South Luangwa National Park

This morning will be the final sunrise on the shores of Lake Malawi before setting off for South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. You will be crossing the border into Zambia and make a short stop in Chipata before continuing to our camp on the banks of the Luangwa River. You will have time to watch the golden sun spill over the mirror-surface of Lake Malawi in the morning, you will enjoy the equally spectacular sunset over the Luangwa River in the evening. You will be spending the evening will be in Wildlife Camp or Marula Lodge.

Early morning, you will depart to South Luangwa National Park. It is the world-class safari destination and you have the full day to explore the park in search of the diverse wildlife found here. There are also other optional activities you may choose from like you can join one of the iconic walking safaris on offer in the park. You will enjoy a sunset drive through and complete it with refreshing sundowners en route. A night drive will give us the unique opportunity to spot elusive nocturnal species that are rarely seen in the day. You will spend the rest of the day in either Wildlife Camp or Marula Lodge.

Day 10Petauke

Early morning, you will depart from Luangwa Valley and you'll make a stop at Tribal Textiles which is situated at the edge of the South Luangwa Park. The Chipata area is a major producer of cotton, and Tribal Textiles showcases local creative talent with this natural textile. Interested parties can enjoy a tour of their workshops to see how these vibrant and colourful fabrics are crafted. Our final destination for the day is the small town of Petuake, where we'll be staying overnight in the quaint Chimwemwe Executive Lodge.

Day 11Lusaka

Early morning you will be traversing the Great East Road. This is an important link between Malawi and the neighbouring city of Lusaka, which winds through the sprawling landscapes of rural Zambia. We'll also be crossing over the vast Luangwa River on our route. Our trajectory intersects with a number of villages and small subsistence farms, a stark contrast to the more developed countries that many of us call home. Our final stop is at Eureka Camp, our home for the night.

Day 12Victoria Falls

After days of different experiences, on this final day, you will be crossing the southernmost reaches of Zambia. You will finally make your way to the adventure town of Victoria Falls. You'll catch your first glimpse of the mighty Falls sometime in the afternoon. During our crossing of the bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe, you'll get the full view of Musi oa Tunya, or the Smoke that Thunders and as the falls are known as in the local language. Victoria Falls offers a host of optional activities, which may be booked upon arrival. Here, we must say our goodbyes - your tour with us comes to an end in Victoria Falls.
