Some highlights of this trip include an exciting game drive and relaxing boat cruise through the park! The Chobe National Park is well-known for its large herds of elephant that frequent the Chobe River on a daily basis, and in the dry season an estimate of up to 85,000 elephants can be found dispersed throughout the Chobe National Park, and particularly along the river, which is also saturated with large hippo pods and some of the biggest crocodiles in Africa! Apart from these, Chobe also has lots more to offer, such as lions, leopards, buffalo and a vast array of antelope like sable, puku, kudu, eland, roan and many more. Bird Photography Boat Cruise General Photography Landscape photography Morning Drives Wilderness Trail Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird Watching Culture Photo-safari• 07:00 – You will be picked up from your accommodation in a closed bus and head out on a scenic 70km drive through the countryside towards the Kazungula border. • 08:00 – You will arrive at the Kazungula Border, where you will exit Zimbabwe/Zambia and enter Botswana. At the border, you shall be met by your assigned Botswana guide and change vehicles. • 08:30 – Once you have gone through and completed Botswana immigration, we will then take a short drive to the gorgeous Chobe Marina Lodge. • 08:45-09:00 – We shall arrive at the lodge, where there is time allocated for a brief bathroom break and some admin to fill out the forms to permit entry into the park. • 09:30 – Now we head out for the first activity of the day. This could either be a game drive or a cruise, depending on which you would like to do first. • 12:30 – We will then return to the lodge for lunch, which will be served either a la carte or buffet style and offer a selection of delicious traditional or modern meals from which to choose. • 13:30 – Now it is time for another activity, which could be a boat cruise or game drive, depending on which activity you chose to do first. • 16:30 – We return to the lodge for a brief resting period, before we begin the transfer to the border at Kazungula, where we will cross back over into Zimbabwe. Those with a single entry visa, will have to purchase another for this. - 19:00 - Now we have dinner at the famous Zambezi House, which has a relaxed atmosphere and a great Anglo-African setting and is situated along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.
