Summary

The non-participatory mokoro safari takes you to the tip of the Delta where you will witness a combination of aquatic wildlife, amazing bird species, and breath taking landscapes, tranquil sunrise and sunsets, and amazing star gazing, all in all summed up in one word: unforgettable! We will visit the Eastern delta in a community controlled wilderness area. We work with some of the most experienced Polers who have mastered the channels as well as being astute in coexisting with aquatic wildlife. We will break for lunch and stretch our legs in one of the islands, a nice short treat. It is truly a great soothing experience. Besides being very close the Delta’s tranquility, you will get to learn a lot about this amazing ecosystem called the Okavango Delta. We will set up lunch picnic on an island to enjoy breathtaking views. After such a once in a life time experience, you will head back to the Mokoro station where your engine powered boat will pick you up for a trip to Audi camp to arrive before sunset. Alternatively, you will be picked up by a car if the water levels are too low to use the boat from Mokoro station to Audi Camp.
