This tailor made 3 days Murchison falls and Zziwa Rhino sanctuary safari takes you to the north - western part of the country to Uganda’s oldest and largest conservation area. You will have a stop at the white rhinos, Zziwa rhino sanctuary. The park is well known for having the world’s strongest falls, Murchison falls. Enjoy a boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls and get to view the dramatic bottle between rock and water through a narrow gorge of about 8 meters. A trip to these falls will probably be the biggest highlight of this trip. The park is also home to almost 76 mammal species and around 476 bird species, making an ideal place for bird lovers.

Day-by-day Description
Day 1KAMPALA TO MURCHISON FALLS AND RHINO TRACKING

Animal Tracking Bird Photography Evening Drives Game Walk Wildlife Photography Bird WatchingAfter your early morning breakfast, the driver will pick you up to begin your journey at about 6:00 am. You will use the Kampala-Masindi route, branching off in Nakasongola to Zziwa rhino sanctuary where you will track the most endangered animal species, the white rhinos. After lunch, embark on your journey to Murchison falls, using the southern gate. Check into your booked safari lodge upon your arrival, and get some refreshments as you wait for your evening game drive. Meal plan: lunch and dinner.

Day 2MORNING GAME DRIVE, LAUNCH CRUISE AND HIKE TO THE TOP

Bird Photography Boat Cruise General Photography Hiking Landscape photography Morning Drives Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird WatchingWake up to a delicious breakfast and set out for an early morning game drive, a good chance to see different animal species as they get up to start the day. Return to your lodge and freshen up if you like as you wait for lunch. Later you will go for a boat cruise on Victoria Nile to view the bottom of the falls, with many great sittings like the hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds. At the bottom of the falls, you will get off the boat, take pictures and begin the hike to the top of the falls, it’s not an easy one but the reward is evident with the panoramic view of the falls from atop. When you get to the top of the falls, the driver/guide will be waiting for you and will give you some time to catch your breath before transferring you back to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: full board.

Day 3TRAVEL BACK TO KAMPALA WITH A STOPOVER AT KARUMA FALLS

General Photography Landscape photography Wildlife Photography Bird WatchingAfter breakfast, make sure you have all your stuff together and check out of the safari lodge, ready to start your journey back to Kampala, exiting park using the northern gate. Get a few minutes viewing of Karuma falls on the way and continue with your journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop at Kabalega dinners and then continue to Kampala to be dropped off at any of your desired locations.
