Day 1Arrival, visit to Genocide Memorial Center and Richard Kandt Museum, transfer to Musanze

Landscape photography CultureUpon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by the Uber Luxe Safaris representative just outside the customs and immigration hall. There you will be briefed on your tour and then driven to Gisozi Genocide Memorial Center and to the Richard Kandt Museum. You have lunch at Hotel Des Mille Collines. Later you are transferred to Volcanoes National Park, where you'll check in at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge and freshen up. The lodge is located in Kinigi in northern Rwanda on the foothills of Mount Karisimbi, one of the volcanic mountains that make up the Virunga massif. The lodge is about a 10 minutes’ drive from the main entrance to the Volcanoes National Park. Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is an eco lodge with 30 spacious chalets. To ensure the least disruption of the surrounding environment, the eco lodge was constructed with local material. Every chalet comes with a sitting area with a fireplace and has a tea and coffee making machine. During the afternoon you are free to relax at your lodge.

Day 2First gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park, visit to Ibyi Iwacu cultural village

Landscape photography Bird Watching CultureAfter an early breakfast at 6:30 am, you will head to the 7 am briefing for your first gorilla trek. Your guided walk starts at 8 am. Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of the magnificent Virunga mountain range, home to the rare mountain gorilla. It offers a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, including evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath. You can spot a wide variety of bird life, but the high point will definitely be spending an hour with the gorillas, remarkably peaceful despite their size and appearance. You'll witness them as they go about their daily lives, feeding, playing, resting and raising their young. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch. At 3 pm you'll visit Ibyi Iwacu Cultural Village for a Rwandan Cultural experience. We have dinner and spend the night at the lodge.

Activities Included
Landscape photography Bird Watching Culture KayakingAfter breakfast, you are picked up at 8:30 am, transferred to the starting point of today's canoeing trip, where you'll get a briefing before you start your experience. You return to the lodge for your lunch and then check out for a leisurely drive back to Kigali. There you'll visit the Kimironko Local Market and some craft centers for souvenirs. Then it's back to Kigali International Airport for your flight home.
