We leave Nairobi in the morning and arrive to our first destination Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. We check into a tented camp. In the afternoon we leave for our first game drive into the park, Mount Kilimanjaro resting spectacularly as our backdrop. Be amazed by the many elephants. In the evening we return to our camp and have dinner there.

Activities Included

This day we will be on a full-day game drive through the park. The Amboseli National Park is famous for its large concentrations of elephants. Some of the biggest elephants of Kenya are living here. It's an awesome sighting if you see a family of up to 100 individuals with their youngest crossing your road just in front of your car. During the hot hours of the day you find many of the herbivore animals like elephants, buffalo and antelopes around the swampy areas of the park. If you love birds, you are right here as well. Many bird species call Amboselis swamps their home. We have packed lunch on a small hill that gives you the perfect view of the area. In the late afternoon we make our way back to the camp where you can enjoy a cold beer with the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Or you can visit a nearby Maasai village on an optional basis.

Activities Included

After breakfast we start making our way to the Tsavo Conservancy, where we will stay the next three nights in Kivuli Camp. We will have lunch here and get an introduction into the life and work on the conservancy. The community here is employed in conservation, research, climate projects, community projects and many other fields. We will ge to know the area with a first game drive and a hike up to a nearby mountain for a sundowner. We sleep in the camp.

Activities Included

Today you will meet with rangers and village elders to learn about organic farming and the role of trees in our eco-system, learn about wildlife conservation, human wildlife conflict, the importance of species for the eco-system, the migration routes of animals between Tsavo East and West and how we track the animals via GPS. Learn about green house effects, carbon trade and possibilities to lower your own footprint. During a guided walk on foot you can also learn about security and survival while out in the wild (such as reading tracks, keeping the orientation, building shelters) and also about the use of plants and their medical use from our local indigenous groups.

Activities Included

Today we visit Tsavo East National Park, which is a 40 minute drive from our accommodation. We take packed lunch with us and return back to our camp after a day full of exploring the nature and animals of the biggest National Park system in Kenya.

Today we need to leave Tsavo Conservancy in time for your flight back or your other plans you might have in Nairobi. We can also organize the transport to Mombasa from here for an additional fee of 50 USD. We can also organize a beach holiday for you. Your safari ends today.
