After a brief talk with your driver guide, he will help you put your luggage in to you Safari Vehicle then you’ll embark on a long trip to Queen Elizabeth National park which is located in the Western part of Uganda and is about 6-7 hours’ drive from Kampala via the Uganda Equator. Here you’ll have a stopover to take photos and probably purchase some souvenirs before you proceed with your journey. Be sure to enjoy the beauty of the country side as you will get to see how local Ugandans live their lives in the Pearl. You will also have a chance to see a lot of the green cover vegetation in most parts along your Journey and probably some wild game like Zebras as you pass through Lake Mburo National Park. While en-route, you’ll have your lunch in Mbarara town at Agip Motel then proceed to your final destination. You will have a late afternoon arrival in the park and you will be taken directly to your pre-booked accommodation facility for Dinner and overnight. • En-route lunch at Agip Motel. • Dinner and overnight at The Bush Lodge. Day 2 (16th-01-2020): Early Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazing Channel. You will wake up early, have breakfast and embark on a morning game drive within the park. While on the game drive, expect to see the big four game including antelopes, giraffes, warthogs and white colobus monkeys just to mention a few. This might take you about 4-5 hours because you’ll drive about 100km deep into the park in order to see a lot of animals and those that are rare to spot like the Tree Climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of the park. This is the only area and park that harbors Tree climbing lions in Uganda so it would really be so interesting to spot these kings of the African Jungle as they feed and rest in the trees. After the game drive, you will then return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation for about 1 to 2 hours of relaxation. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos and crocodiles and a lot more aquatic life. During the tracking, you will slope down a gorge with sights of magical lush mature tropical forest, thriving below sea level supporting counts of chimpanzees. Hiking the gorge’s steep slopes in search of the chimps is challenging but eventually encountering them gives a life time memory as you will find them rolling on tree branches, making pant hooting calls, also spot the black and white colobus monkeys and the olive baboons. The walk generally takes around 2‐4 hours. After tracking the Chimpanzees, you’ll go back to your accommodation for lunch and relaxation which could take 1-2 hours. After relaxing, you will head to Hamukungu Fishing Village (Kasoga Community Experience) located within the park.
