Day-by-day Description

Day 1 to Day 11The adventure of a lifetime

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport (05.15 PM), Transfer to the guesthouse in Tipasa. Stay at a superior traditional Algerian guesthouse Hawesse or 4 star hotel Lamaraz (as preferred)
Day 2:Tipasa + Setif tour, Breakfast and Dinner at local restaurant included. Stay at Hawesse Guesthouse or 4 star hotel Lamaraz. More information on the tour: Visit Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and nicknamed Tomb of the Christian, is a monument of the Numidian era, located in Algeria, on the current town of Sidi Rached, about sixty kilometers west of Algiers. Next, visit Roman Rouines: In the middle of the coastal town of Tipaza, are the ruins of a Roman city: Tipasa of Mauretania (also UNESCO). Visit of Tiapasa Port.
Day 3: Breakfast then 5h30 departure for Setif, arrival scheduled at 10am visits of the rouines of Djemila, an ancient city. The Djemila site is home to the remains of the ancient Cuicul, a Roman city classified as world heritage by UNESCO. Afternoon Visit Maul Park, Algiers dinner and transfer to the airport flight Algiers-Djanet at 22h Stay at hotel Grotte des Ambassadeurs in Djanet. Breakfast and Dinner included Hotel in Djanet
Day 4: In the morning we visit Djanet Old town and Museum of Tassili N’ajjer and have lunch in Djanet. Go to Tuareg village to meet with indigenous Tuareg men and women and learn about their nomadic culture. Lunch In Djanet. Desert tour: We drive to TIGHARGHRT and visit the beautiful engraving of crying Cow which was made 8000BC. our camp in beautiful sand dunes and see Saharan sunset. Stay in tented camp throughout. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included throughout desert tour.
Day 5: After breakfast go on morning hike then desert tour in the 4*4 vehicles. We are moving deep into the Sahara toward the East and the Tassili National Park. Tassili n'Ajjer is a national park in the Sahara desert and protected by UNESCO. Evening hike followed by campfire with traditional song and dance performed by Tuareg.
Day 6: After breakfast, crossing the gorge of El Berdj before entering a world of impressive dune height and softness. Lunch in WAN TABRKAT beautiful sand dunes. Bivouac Moul Naga - exploration of ancient rock paintings, and engravings. The rock formation is an archaeological site, noted for its numerous prehistoric parietal works of rock art. We set up camp and come together around the campfire for more song and storytelling.
Day 7: We see some rock engraving and rock paintings and witness the change of sand colors to RED SAND. Trek between pink dunes and rock carvings. Beautiful Rocks engravings at WAN ISSKA. In the middle of the dunes, your exploration continues on foot and visit a site you can see the magnificent paintings of the Neolithic and see beautiful mountains and Arch of Tamzdiga the mosque and beautiful Arch of IN TIHAQ we stop in WAN NAGIN. We will see there a rock that looks like the football world cup and beautiful mountains. We stop there for lunch. After lunch we drive to Tin Merzouga, closest point to Libya border about 50 km from. Some dunes here reach 600 meters. Camp in Tin Merzouga.
Day 8: Crossing the Wadi of INDJAREN we will see Rock painting and engravings and a rock that looks like the Hedgehog (although some say it looks like a pig, but we don’t have many pigs in Algeria). We see Beautiful landscape and rocks engraving of elephant and girafs at our camp in Adjlati which has black sand dunes.
Day 9: We drive back towards to Djanet and see rock elephant . After Lunch we drive to TIKOBAWIN. The horizon expands, the spaces become excessive, the landscape changes and it is between sandstone peaks and vast expanses of sand we will see a big rock arch and neolithic tombs and rock paintings of Tikobawin
Day 10: Visit Tilalin Mountains and Adaik stone forest and the Timghas mountains. Return to Djanet and time to refresh in the hotel Grotte des Ambassadeurs. Dinner with your guide at his traditional home (his sister will cook for the group).
Day 11: Transfer to your night flight from Djanet to Algiers (departure 3:15AM) Arrive in Algiers at 5:30AM
