Summary

This trip is such an exciting one. You will be able to see the scarce southern white rhinos that were poached to extinction .It is currently home to nineteen Rhinos. It is among Uganda’s big seven. Next visit will be Murchison falls national park. Here you will enjoy the sight of the powerful waterfall forcing its way through the narrow gorge thus forming a rainbow. You will enjoy the boat rides, game drives and birding. Venture deep into the chimpanzees’ habitats Budongo and Kibale. You will enjoy the sight of these playful primates and also have a choice to stay with them for a whole day with researchers. Bigodi wetland sanctuary is another stop for you. It has been conserved by the community alongside other community activities that have uplifted the welfare of the communities.

Day 1Welcome to Uganda

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet,greet and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time,you will tour Entebbe Botanical Gardens and the Zoo. Overnight at Entebbe Travellers Inn.

Day 2Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is home to Uganda’s rhinos that had become extinct in the early 1980s after a period of civil unrest and heavy poaching. Arrive at the sanctuary early afternoon. Day 3Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After Breakfast, drive to Murchison fall National Park via the top of the falls a scenic point where you will see the Nile force its way through a narrow gap to start its continued flow into Lake Albert. Sir Samuel Baker named the Falls after Sir Roderick Murchison, President of the Royal Geographical Society. The falls lend their name to the surrounding Murchison Falls National Park. Day 4Game Drive and Boat ride on River Nile

Day 5Chimpanzee tracking at Budongo Forest

Today, after breakfast we transfer to Budongo Forest for chimp tracking and nature walks. After lunch travel to Hoima town the Kingdom capital of Bunyoro. Stop over at Mparo the official burial place of of Bunyoro’s Kings. Overnight: Hotel Kontiki or Hoima Cultural Lodge.

Day 7Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will prepare yourself for the chimpanzee tracking mission the most exciting activity in the park. An experienced forest ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning. along the forest walk you will be able to see other primates like red-tailed monkey, black-and-white Columbus monkey. After Lunch go to Bigodi Wetland sanctuary for a nature walk, home to over 100 bird species. The Sanctuary is operated by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development (KAFRED), a community based organization (CBO). A significant fraction of association income has been used, and continues to be used, to fund numerous community projects. The Bigodi Women’s Group, weaves crafts from environmentally sustainable materials, dyes and methods. Their crafts are sold worldwide. Overnight at your lodge-Chimpanzee Guest house

A Visa to Uganda can be obtained on arrival at point of entry. It costs US$50 per person. However a single East Africa Tourist Visa-Kenya,Uganda,Rwanda at US$100 is also available. Yellow fever vaccination certificate is the common record required at the point of entry. However if you have any other records of vaccinations please carry them with you. All visitors should take Malaria drugs before and after as preventive measure .It is advisable to drink bottled rather than tap water. It is also advisable to seek information from your National Health office or travel websites for the latest Uganda travel health information
