This amazing Ugandan tour will bring you close to almost 100 species of mammals and more or less 606 different types of birds, which dwell within the different parks that we will be visiting. Among these animals, you will also encounter some large schools of hippos, large forest hogs and the adorable Uganda kob, which are all commonly seen in the tourist villages located in the magnificent Mweya Peninsula, which is nestled by a beautiful waterfront, inside the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda. You will also be offered a chance to witness the fierce tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, the complex habitat of the Maramagambo Forest, which hosts a diversity of monkeys and birds, the stunning crater lakes which is filled with a large number of beautiful pink flamingos, and the Kyambura Gorge which is the home to many habituated Chimpanzees. Other highlights of Uganda include its exciting Silverback Gorilla Tracking experience and its wonderful people who reside at the boundaries of the park and work tirelessly with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority to conserve and maintain the rare species of the forest and ensure that it is there for future generations to enjoy. Day 1ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT – UGANDA

Party CultureYour arrival today will be a warm welcome by our company representative who will escort you to partake in some refreshments and then depending on the time of arrival, you will be able to check in at your accommodation and have some time to settle into it. There is also the option to go on a riveting city tour, or alternatively to stay behind and recover from the long flight. Once you have gone through all that, you will then be briefed about your incoming safari experience and have a chance to finalize any outstanding aspects of the trip. The overnight stay for today will be courtesy of either the affordable but gorgeous Biraj Hotel or the luxurious and grand Mestil Hotel for luxury.

Day 2TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

We will arrive in the national park in the late afternoon and our first visit will be the magnificent waterfalls called Murchison Falls. This is where the river Nile crashes through a seven-meter crevice and forms a beautiful rainbow when it reaches the bottom. It’s such a spectacular view and backdrop against which to take some amazing and memorable photos! Once this remarkable visit is done, we will then continue through to the accommodation for our overnight stay at the stunning Paraa Safari Lodge. If you desire, and are willing to pay the extra cost associated with it, you could also stop over at the renowned Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for some exciting Rhino Tracking.

Day 3FULL DAY IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Once all that excitement is done, you will return to your accommodation to enjoy your delicious breakfast. Then you will be able to relax until lunchtime in the afternoon, before going on a relaxing boat cruise on the famous Nile River, for some thrilling game viewing at close quarters. The Boat cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls for another fantastic view and the chance to view some fearsome Nile crocodiles and powerful hippos. Then you will return to the Paraa Safari Lodge for your tasty dinner and overnight stay. At an extra cost, you could also disembark from the boat at the bottom of the falls and hike the distance to the top of the falls and then picked up by your assigned driver and returned to your accommodation.

We should arrive in the early evening, check in and then relax at the Kibale National Park, before our dinner and overnight stay at the unique Primate Lodge in Kibale.

Day 5FULL DAY IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

This thrilling walk through the forest may last for the whole morning, before we return for lunch, and then head out for another exciting local experience, the Bigodi Village Swamp Walk, were we will be able to encounter its rich diversity of birds, butterflies and rare plant species. Our delicious dinner and overnight stay will once again, be at the Primate Lodge in Kibale. At an extra cost, you could also experience a full day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience.

Day 7FULL DAY SAFARI IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Animal Tracking Boat Cruise Morning Drives Scenic Drive Game driveToday kicks off with an early morning coffee or tea before beginning your day with a trip to the mating ground of the Ugandan kobs, where we could be fortunate to spot some lions and leopards hunting their preys in the wild! While here, we could also be on the lookout for elephants and other wild animals in their natural habitat. We will then return to the accommodation for our delicious lunch, and after that, a calming boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and an opportunity to spot and enjoy some more African wildlife. The Kazinga Channel is the ideal location to find the highest concentration of hippos in East Africa. This is one of the highlights of the safari and is an incredible must-do activity. Our overnight stay will once again be courtesy of the Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 8TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Animal Tracking Game Walk Morning Drives Scenic Drive Wilderness TrailThe options for this morning, are either a forest walk in the Maramagambo Forest or a chimp trek in Kyambura Gorge, before we head over to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is famous for its gorgeous Blue Lake, unique trees and deep bat caves, while the Kyambura Gorge is famous for its amazing view and wild Chimpanzees. And for an extra cost, you could choose to go in search of the chimpanzees in the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve, which is a beautiful gorge completely covered with tropical rainforest. And then in the late afternoon, we will begin the drive towards Bwindi with a packed lunch, and arrive at the home of the endangered fierce mountain gorillas by the early evening. We will then check in for our overnight stay in the rustic Buhoma Lodge, which is located within the forest.

Though the journey to them will not be easy, as you should expect a lengthy walk through steep and muddy terrain with possible rainfall, but the reward of encountering the gorillas while they feed, play and relax, is well worth it! Then we return to the Buhoma Lodge for our overnight stay.

At an extra cost, there are special treats available to you, like horse riding, quad biking and so much more! Our overnight stay will then be at the scenic Mihingo Lodge.

Day 11TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

The walk allows you to encounter a large variety of wildlife, birds and plant species. Then we return to the Lodge to check out and begin the drive to Kampala, with the opportunity to enjoy an exciting game drive along the way to the Lake Mburo National Park with your packed lunch. We will then stop over at the Ugandan Equator, where you could partake in the mysterious water experiments, as well as partake in some souvenir shopping, for something to help you remember this experience. We will then have our overnight stay at the luxurious Mestil Hotel.

This town in southern Uganda is situated directly at Lake Victoria and is also the source of the famous Nile River. While heading there, we will make a stop at the Mabira Forest for a nice forest walk, with the possibility of seeing different types of primates, birds and colorful butterflies. We will also make a stop at the Bujagali Falls, which are spectacular waterfalls that offer a great challenge for white water rafters! After all those stops, we will then continue with our visit to the Source of the Nile. At an additional cost and for those who are particularly adventurous, you could decide to go rafting on the Nile or embark on a quad bike safari through the local villages. And once all that excitement is done, we will then return to Kampala for our overnight stay at the Mestil Hotel.

General Photography Scenic Drive CultureToday marks the end of this wonderful safari, where you will be transferred to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight home (simply alert your driver to the time of your flights). If your flight is not until a later time, you could possibly opt instead, for a thrilling city tour which takes you to Kampala’s famous and historical sites, before dropping you at the airport. A Visa to Uganda can be obtained upon arrival in the country at the point of entry, which costs US$50 per person. However a single East African Tourist Visa for Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda is also available at a rate of US$100. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is commonly required for entry into the country, furthermore, if you have any other records of vaccinations, it would be best to bring those along as well. All visitors should take Malaria medication beforehand and afterwards as a preventive measure.
