Day 1Day of Arrival at Thornybush Private Nature Reserve

Animal Tracking Bird Photography Evening Drives Game Walk General Photography Night drive Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird WatchingThe first day will start off will you being picked up by our Mr Schuttle driver, the pick-up will be either from your Hotel or OR Thambo International Airport. So then it is off to your dream Safari vacation. We travel via the Highveld farmlands to the scenic subtropical Lowveld and to Thornybush Game Reserve and transfer you to Chapungu Tented Camp. Later we board the open Landcruiser for 3h Sunset Drive. Your guide will show you various animals and birds and after dark. Upon returning for a gourmet dinner.

Shortly after, you depart in your open landrover with your experienced Rangers who will share their knowledge of the bush with you. After an exhilarating safari, a sumptuous Breakfast is guests are offered walks and are accompanied by an armed ranger and tracker. Walks allow guests a better chance to see some of the smaller creatures of the bush as well as an opportunity to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region & to have a chance to follow tracks in more detail. The rest of the day is spent at the discretion of the guest for other activities that we offer, with a late lunch served around 3.00pm. Lunch is followed by the afternoon game drive and extends into the evening to view seldom seen nocturnal species by torchlight. Upon returning for dinner, before returning to bed for another day's adventure.
