Day 2Volcanoes National Park

Animal Tracking Bird Photography General Photography Hiking Landscape photography Wilderness Trail Bird WatchingVery early in the morning set off and transfer to the park to catch up with briefing and then head out for gorilla trekking in Volcano National Park. Normally it takes between 2 - 4 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas in the jungle. The park was established in 1925, after Mountain Gorillas were discovered for the very first time, and was the first ever national park in Africa. Now as then, few experiences match that of coming face to face with a mountain gorilla as it gnaws on bamboo shoots; in fact, it is probably one of Africa’s indisputable travel highlights. After the face to face experience with the mountain gorillas in the wilderness return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening, relax at the balcony of your room in the evening or visit the local community or take an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (Lake Bulera and Ruhondo). Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or similar
Day 3Dian Fossey's Grave / Golden Monkey Tracking
