Welcome to Kenya! Our seasoned company tour guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel and take you into the Maasai Mara. We'll make a stop at the Rift Valley View Point to enjoy a spectacular view of the plains of Kenya. We'll arrive in the Maasai Mara in the afternoon, and our journey to our accommodations at Serena Lodge will also be a game drive. At the lodge, we'll freshen up and have lunch. In the evening, we'll take off again for a game drive through the National Reserve to begin our search for the awesome animals for which Mara is so famous. If we are very lucky, we might spot a pride of lions or perhaps a cheetah hunting for their dinner! We'll head back to the lodge at sunset, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend an unforgettable night under the starry African sky.

Today, we'll start with an early breakfast and get into the reserve just as the sun rises. This is the very best time to track wild animals. We'll make our way up to the Mara River, where (between July and September) the great migration of wildebeests and zebras takes place. We can either stop here for a picnic lunch, or head back to the lodge for a hot meal. After lunch, we'll continue our search for the Big 5 in the Mara. Later, we'll return to the lodge, relax and maybe enjoy a dip into the pool. We can also arrange a trip to a Maasai village. This trip is included in the tour, and you'll get to know everything about this very traditional tribe of Kenya. You will also have the chance to shop for curios, while supporting the community at the same time. Dinner will be taken at the lodge.

After breakfast, we'll start our leisurely drive back out of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, viewing game all the while. We'll make our way through the Great Rift Valley and enjoy the great landscapes with Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano, accompanying us always on the left. We'll have lunch on the way and stop afterwards at Lake Naivasha for an adventurous boat ride. Naivasha is a freshwater lake and home to several hundred bird species, like the African Fish Eagle and the pelican. You'll also come eye to eye with the many hippos that are living on the shores of the lake. After the boat cruise, we'll proceed either to Nakuru, the third-biggest town of Kenya, or we'll stay in Naivasha. It all depends on your wishes for tomorrow's activity, which can either be a day spent at the beautiful Lake Nakuru (populated with white rhino), a bike ride through Hell's Gate National Park, or a game walk on Crescent Island. Whatever you decide, you will spend the night in one of the charming Sopa Lodges.

The lake is also home to some highly endangered species - the white rhino and the Rothschild's giraffe. In case you missed the rhino in the Mara, you have your chance to complete seeing the Big 5 here. Naivasha Option: you have two different options to spend the day. First: visit Hell's Gate National Park and take a bike ride among antelopes, giraffes and buffalos. At the end of the park you'll find a beautiful gorge, where you can have a local guide show you around. Alternatively, you can visit Crescent Island, a small private conservancy on a peninsula in Lake Naivasha. Here you'll get the chance to walk amongst the wild animals. After your day activity in Naivasha/Nakuru, it's time to depart for Amboseli National Park. We'll arrive in the evening and have our dinner at Ol Tukai Lodge, with Mount Kilimanjaro and the elephant swamps right on its doorstep.
