The van is a 4x4 seven-seater with a pop-up roof, great for game-viewing. An additional vehicle can be arranged for groups of more than seven. We will personally pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel in downtown Nairobi. Here, you'll meet your friendly guide and receive a short brief on the upcoming safari. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind after your flight. Nairobi features several fine restaurants and small, local shops for some retail therapy. Please note that dinner is to be purchased at your own expense. Enjoy the city!

After the cute babies, we'll visit Nairobi's Giraffe Centre, which protects the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Here, you can get unbelievably close to the tallest animal walking earth. Have you ever dreamed of kissing a giraffe? This is your chance! After lunch at a local restaurant, we'll finish our Nairobi tour with a visit to K.I.C.C. - one of the tallest buildings in Nairobi. From the helipad on top of the roof, you'll have breathtaking views of the city below. In the evening, we recommend booking a table at Nairobi's most famous restaurant - Carnivore. The name says it all: you'll find all cuts of meat on the menu here, including those from ostrich and crocodile. Such a visit is not included in the cost of the package, but we would love to take you there!

Day 3Nairobi to Maasai Mara

We'll arrive at Enkorok Camp in the early afternoon, where we'll settle in, freshen up, and have lunch. We'll depart later in the afternoon for an evening game drive through the Maasai Mara National Reserve - if we are exceptionally lucky, we might spot lion and cheetah on the hunt for dinner! After enjoying sunset in the reserve, we'll return to camp for a delicious fireside dinner. we leave for our camp, enjoy a yummy dinner and sit around the campfire. Enkorok is a semi-luxury camp with WiFi, a well-stocked bar, great buffet food, and spacious safari tents - so you are sure to enjoy your stay here!

Day 4Full Day Game Drive
We'll start with a very early breakfast today, so that we'll arrive the park gates just as they open. This is the best time to track wild animals and find one or the other hunting or foraging for food. We'll make our way up to the Mara River, where - between July and September - the Great Migration takes place. We'll have lunch here. Afterwards, we'll continue our drive through the park in search of the Big Five, before returning to camp to kick back and relax. Later, we'll visit a neighbouring Maasai village for a cultural education. You will also have the chance to do some curio shopping, while supporting local artisans at the same time. Later, we'll return to camp and freshen up before visiting a neighbouring Maasai village. This cultural trip, which is included in the cost of the package, will teach you everything there is to know about this very traditional Kenyan tribe. There's another chance to do some local curio shopping here, as well. At the end of the day, we'll return to camp for a bush dinner under the stars.

Day 5Maasai Mara via Naivasha to Nakuru

We'll make our way through the Great Rift Valley and enjoy the great landscapes with Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano, accompanying us always on the left. We'll have lunch on the way and stop afterwards at Lake Naivasha for an adventurous boat ride (included in the cost of the tour). Naivasha, a freshwater lake, is home to several hundred bird species, like the African Fish Eagle and the pelican. You'll also come eye to eye with the many hippos that are living on the shores of the lake. After the boat cruise we proceed to Nakuru, the third-biggest town of Kenya. Here, we will stay in Lanet Matfam Hotel, just outside the National Park. Lanet Matfam is equipped with a pool and WiFi.
Day 6Nakuru to Naivasha
We'll spend the day in the beautiful Lake Nakuru, home of the white rhino. After the great plains and savannahs of the Maasai Mara, the gorgeous green and lush surrounds of the lake will be a welcome relief! In addition to the white rhino, the park is home to the highly endangered Rothschild giraffe, several troops of baboons, water buck, buffalo, and many different birds. After a picnic lunch, we'll proceed to Lake Navaisha in the afternoon. Here, we'll be sleeping right on the lake shore. Guests have the option of sleeping in a small banda (2-4 persons) or pitch a tent. The highlight of the day is the glorious sunset hour when the hippos emerge from the lake to begin their nightly grazing. From behind the safety of an electric fence, you can get up close and take fantastic photographs of these mystical creatures. For tonight, dinner is at your own expense - the camp's restaurant has a few delicious plates on offer! Your accommodation is in Fishermen's Camp or Camp Carnelley's.

Day 7Naivasha to Amboseli

Option 1: visit Hell's Gate National Park and take a bike ride among antelopes, giraffes and buffalos. At the end of the park you find a beautiful gorge, where a local guide can show you around. Option 2: alternatively, you can visit Crescent Island, a small, private conservancy on a peninsula in Lake Naivasha. Here, you'll have the chance to encounter wild animals on foot. Whatever your choice, both are awesome possibilities to experience Kenya's wildlife without being in a car: stretch your legs and enjoy nature! After your day activity in Naivasha, it's time to move on to Amboseli National Parl, home to the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro and many elephants. We'll arrive in time for lunch at Sopa Lodge, Amboseli. Treat yourself at the end of the safari with a luxurious stay here. Enjoy the view of Kili while lounging around the pool with a sundowner in hand!

Day 8Amboseli Full-Day Game Drive
Today, we'll be enjoying a full-day game drive through the park. The Amboseli National Park is famous for its large concentrations of elephants. Some of the biggest elephants in Kenya live here. Lucky visitors may be able to witness families of up to 100 crossing the road with their young just in front of the car. During the heat of the day, you are likely to find many herbivore and avian species looking to cool down and feed around the swampy areas of the park. We'll have a picnic lunch on a small hill that gives you the perfect view of the area. In the late afternoon, we'll make our way back to the lodge, where you can kick back and relax.
Day 9Amboseli to Nairobi
Today, we'll start early with a morning game drive - the best time to see lions or hyenas hunting for food. Photograph the ethereal Mt. Kilimanjaro in the silver morning light, or simply enjoy the nature and wildlife surrounding you. We'll return to the lodge for breakfast and to get ready for our return to Nairobi. This doesn't have to be the end of the tour! If you'd like, we can arrange for your connection to Mombasa to enjoy a tour of Kenya's breathtaking coast. Whatever you decide, we wish you a bon voyage!
