Summary
This trip offer a 3-day safari from the gorgeous coastal city of Mombasa to Kenya's Largest game sanctuary, the Tsavo East National Park, which is famed for it's huge herds of elephants and the infamous man-eating lions who nearly brought the construction of the Kenya-Uganda railway to a halt in the 1890s! During this trip, you will also have a chance to visit the Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, a privately owned game sanctuary which borders the Tsavo West National park and is home to over 50 species of mammals and 300 species of birds including the extremely rare Taita Falcon! Day 1Mombasa - Tsavo East

Bird Photography Evening Drives Game Walk General Photography Morning Drives Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird Watching Photo-safariOn this first day, we leave Mombasa early in the morning and drive to the Tsavo East National park, where we will enter the park via Buchuma Gate, and immediately jump in with an exciting game drive and wildlife spotting. On the way, we will pass by the Aruba Dam, a dam which spans the Voi River and attracts a dense concentration of many types of wildlife. We will then proceed with the game drive on to your pre-booked safari lodge in the Tsavo East for check-in, lunch and a short rest. We then have another riveting game drive planned for the afternoon time until the evening time. Then we return to the lodge for dinner and to rest up in preparation for the new day.

Day 2Tsavo East - Taita hills

Bird Photography Evening Drives General Photography Morning Drives Wildlife Photography Game drive Bird Watching Culture Photo-safariToday, we head out for an early morning safari game drive with a chance of spotting some or all of the big cats of the Tsavo area, as well as other animals and various bird species. Breakfast will be served at 8.30 in the morning, before we check out of our accommodation for a mid-morning safari/game drive, before departing to the Taita Hills Saltlick. We will then arrive at the charming Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge, where a delicious lunch awaits us. Afterwards, we will then head out around 2.30 in the afternoon towards the quirky and delightful Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge with game viewing along the way. This lodge is known for its quirky but delightful design, which features small buildings on stilts around a waterhole and a salt lick, which in turn attracts a large array of wildlife, especially elephants. In the evenings, the animals gather at the waterhole to drink and present a spectacular site to those fortunate enough to behold it. It is at this amazing location that our dinner and overnight stay will be.

Day 3Saltlick - Mombasa

On this drive, there is a chance for you to spot any or all of the big cats of the Taita Hills, as well as a variety of other wild animals. After the drive, we will return to the lodge for the serving of the main breakfast, at around 8.30 in the morning. There is also a final exciting game drive scheduled after this, before we exit the park and drive back to the gorgeous Mombasa, with scenic views along the way.
